In our classroom, in order to work literacy, creativity, maternal language, we have a " Telling story hour" every day, when we return from lunch. Last week we read a story from Michel Rosen and Helen Oxenbury (one of my favorite ilustrator), "Let´s go to a bear hunt", a book full of sounds, signes and wonderful story and image. They really loved it and made me read it several times. At the end they really could tell all the story by themselves. That was when the questions came. Are there bears in Portugal? Is the bear a sweet animal or a wild animal? Outside the zoo where can we find bears? What do bears eat' ? Can we go to a bear hunt. In order to answerd the questionds we did some research in wikypedia, in google and in books. In order to play "chase a bear" we decided to go to the world of "make believe" and go in a trip to the bear hunt. Do you want to see how it was? Please take a look in youtu.be/OkUMM5HeZrc or I hope you enjoy it so much as we did!
...and the wonderful book of the alphabet....
